The ingredients needed to make Sugar cane kheer:
  1. Make ready 1 litre fresh sugar cane juice
  2. Make ready 100 gram basmati rice
  3. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  4. Take 1/4 cup peanuts
  5. Prepare as needed Cashew for garnishing
Instructions to make Sugar cane kheer:
  1. Soak the rice in enough water for about 1hr.
  2. Take a heavy bottom utensil add sugar cane juice in it, bring it to boil
  3. At this stage add soaked rice and cardamon powder, cook the rice on medium flame with occasion stirring
  4. Once rice cooked well add peanuts
  5. Cook till you will get semi thick kheer type consistency. Switch off the flame, let it cool,. Garnish with cashew, serve cool in festival season.
