  1. Prepare 1 cup whole white urad (overnight soaked)

  17. Prepare 1 inch grated ginger

  19. Take As needed cooking oil for deep frying

  22. Take 3 1/2 cup water
Steps to make Urad kadhi with rice:
  1. Wash and rinse urad dal Grind in a mixer.
  2. For urad kadhi… we will use half urad paste in kadhi and half urad paste in pakori. Add 2 cups water in half urad paste, mix well to make batter.
  3. Heat mustard oil in a pan, add methi seeds, hing, dried red chillies, garlic, fry for one min. Add urad batter in it.
  4. Add turmeric, red chilli, coriander, garam masala powder. Mix well. Cover with the lid. Cook for 15 to 20 mins.in medium low flame. If batter is thick, then add more water as required. Turn off the flame.
  5. For urad pakori…Take a bowl, add other half urad paste, ginger, green chilli, hing, ginger, 1 tsp salt, mix well.
  6. Heat oil in a kadhai. Drop small portion in hot oil and fry till golden brown on medium flame. Pakori is ready.
  7. Now add this pakori in kadhi, add lemon juice, mix well. Sprinkle with red chilli powder. Urad ki kadhi is ready.
  8. For rice…Wash and rinse rice. Take a cooker, add rice and water.Rest for 15 mins. Cook for one whistle on high flame.
  9. Lunch is ready. Enjoy urad ki kadhi with rice.!!!
