Now start adding dry ingredients to it little by little and keep on mixing. Do not overwork the dough. Just make it like a dough until everything comes together and cover and keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Now roll out the dough of medium thickness and cut the cookies with a cookie cutter. Prepare all the cookies in the same manner. Arrange prepared cookies on a greased baking tray.
Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Baking time can differ according to the thickness of the cookies, if the cookies are thick then it will require a bit more baking time. Do not over bake the cookies, just let them be light pink in color. Remove the cookies from the oven and with the help of a knife take them out of the baking tray and transfer them to a wire rack. Let the cookies cool down completely for icing. You can prepare the cookies in advance.
To prepare icing, mix icing sugar, lemon juice, and milk in a bowl and mix it very well. Keep the consistency of the icing medium thick so that it can be piped from a piping bag. Now divide the icing into separate bowls and add colors according to your choice. Ice the cookies as you wish. Arrange cookies separately and Let them set for 6 to 8 hours.
Sugar cookies can be stored for 10 to 15 days in an airtight container.
