The ingredients needed to make Kachori:
  1. Take Ingredients for the dough:-
  2. Prepare 1 1/2 cup plain flour
  3. Prepare 1/2 cup oil
  4. Take 1/2 cup warm water
  5. Make ready 1/4 teaspoon salt

  7. Prepare 1 cup split yellow gram soaked overnight
  8. Get 1/2 cup roasted gram flour or powdered ganthia
  9. Make ready 2 tablespoon fennel
  10. Take 2 tablespoon raisins
  11. Get 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  12. Make ready 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  13. Take 1 teaspoon garam masala
  14. Get 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  15. Get 1 teaspoon green chilli paste
  16. Take 2 tablespoon sugar
  17. Prepare 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  18. Get to taste Salt
  19. Prepare 1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
  20. Take Oil for frying
Steps to make Kachori:
  1. Dough: - In a bowl add flour oil and mix well. You should be able to make a fist with the flour. Add water little bit at a time. The dough should be of a very soft consistency. Cover and set aside.
  2. Filling : - Wash the mung daal and pressure cook 1 whistle. - Let it cool. Once cooled down add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Make small equal size balls
  3. Sprinkle some flour on a tray to keep the kachori’s. - Knead the dough and make equal size balls. On a greased surface take one ball and pat with fingers to make a round disc. Put the mung daal ball in the middle and bring the edges together and remove any access dough. Roll it in your palm so all the dough is equally spread and no seem is showing. Place it on floured tray and cover with wet cloth. Repeat for the rest.
  4. On medium heat, heat the oil. Deep fry kachori’s turning them occasionally. Once light golden brown remove. Place on kitchen towel so any access oil is removed. Enjoy with green chutney or tamarind chutney.
