The ingredients needed to make Easy Palappam:
  1. Prepare Raw rice -
  2. Make ready rice Boiled cooked -
  3. Get coconut grated -
  4. Make ready active dry yeast -
  5. Get sugar -
Instructions to make Easy Palappam:
  1. Soak the  rice in water for 2 to 3 hours. clean and drain out the water.Mix all the above ingredients together  and divide  into 3 portions.
  2. Now  grind each portion in a wet grinder adding water so that the water level comes  just above the level of the ingredients  .Grind till the mixture  is well blended, soft and slightly fluffy.While grinding add enough water so that the dough will not become  very thick or  over heated  .   Mix everything well and keep aside   in a big bowl where there is enough space for the dough to expand on fermentation  . After  5 to  6  hours (depending on the atmospheric temperature) the dough is ready…
  3. The soft and yummy palappam  can be made  using a non stick   'palappam cookware.Once again,mix  the whole dough with a pinch of salt. Pour one big serving spoon(1/3 cup)  flour mix in the hot palappam  pan and turn the pan in circular motion, close the lid and cook  in low fire. Do not  turn the appam to cook both sides.
