  1. Take 2 medium sized tomatoes, finely chopped
  2. Make ready 1 cup tamarind juic
  3. Get 1 cup cooked toor dal
  4. Prepare 2 cups water
  5. Prepare For Tempering:
  6. Prepare 2 tsp oil
  7. Make ready 3/4 tsp mustard seeds / rai
  8. Get 3/4 tsp jeera
  9. Prepare Few Curry leaves optional
  10. Prepare 1/4 tsp turmeric powder / haldi
  11. Get As per taste Salt
  12. Prepare 1/4 cup tamirind juice
  13. Prepare 2-3 Mysore Reasam powder
  14. Get 1 cup cooked toor dal
  15. Prepare 1.5 cup water
  16. Take Handful Chopped coriander leaves
Instructions to make Mysore Rasam:
  1. MYSORE RASAM RECIPE: - firstly, in a large kadai add oil,jeera,mustard seeds let it pop. - also add curry leaves (optional), turmeric powder, salt and tamarind water, saute for 3mins,now add 2-3 tsp of mysore rasam powder and continue to boil for 2 minutes.
  2. Further add cooked toor dal and water.boil for a minute till the dal turns frothy. Garnish with chopped coriander. Ready to serve.
