  1. Soak yellow peas/ matar overnight in water after washing them. Next morning drain out the water and put it in pressure cooker. Add water as much needed and cook for 4-5 whistles. Take it out on a plate/bowl
  2. Put mustard oil in pan. Temper the oil with dry red chilli.
  3. Cut the tomato into cubes and put it in pan. Cook till tomatoes become mushy. Add 1 tsp Cumin powder and 1 tsp Turmeric powder. Add salt and sugar to taste. Then add the boiled matar. Cook till the matar get coated with masala.
  4. Then add water (stock of the matar). Cook for few minutes more. Transfer to a plate and serve.
