The ingredients needed to make Salisbury Steak:
  1. Make ready 2 lb potatoes, mashed
  2. Make ready 1 lb broccoli, steamed
  3. Prepare Patties
  4. Make ready 2 lb lean ground beef
  5. Prepare 1/4 cup milk
  6. Prepare 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  7. Take 1 packages dry onion soup mix
  8. Prepare Gravy
  9. Make ready 1 can low sodium cream of mushroom soup
  10. Prepare 1 can golden mushroom soup
  11. Prepare 1 packages low sodium brown gravy mix
  12. Take 3/4 cup beef broth
  13. Take 8 oz sliced white mushrooms, washed
Instructions to make Salisbury Steak:
  1. Mix beef, milk, breadcrumbs and dry onions soup mix (I make my own to reduce sodium content) together in a bowl. Form into 8 to 10 patties. Sear on each side and set aside to drain.
  2. Mix together both cans of soup, brown gravy mix and broth.
  3. Place patties in 4qt crock pot in a pyramid pattern.
  4. Add mushrooms and cover with gravy. Cook on low 4-6 hours. Serve over mashed potatoes and a vegetable on the side.
